We were surprised to receive a couple of calls from our customers this morning, all of which are using dynamic IP broadband or fibre plans from their respective ISPs. These customers have called and all of which are due to the same reason:
They are unable to access their remote devices, including their servers, printers, CCTVs and many others.
With effect from May 2nd 2013, the Singapore Network Information Centre (SGNIC) will implement a pilot scheme known as “VerifiedID@SG” for all new “.sg” domain names (e.g. example.sg, example.com.sg, example.org.sg etc.). The scheme is aimed at enhancing the trust of .sg domain names by mitigating against identity theft and fake identity used in registering .sg domain names.

We’ve detected a spam attack today that spreads as an email and tricks our customer into opening a malicious PDF file, which in tandem with an embedded VBScript may penetrate a victim’s computer and drop a so-called WORM and rootkit components.
